Yesterday afternoon, the Lady Comets Varsity Softball Team hosted Greece in a first-round sectional matchup — and what a performance it was!
Kendall Buttles was dominant in the circle, throwing a six-inning shutout while piling up strikeouts throughout the game. She also made her presence felt at the plate, crushing a ball to right field that resulted in a snow-cone catch and likely would have been a home run.
Kyla Piedici got the start in center field and came through with a stand-up triple while making several key defensive plays. Addison Chiarluce also had a strong performance in left field, making great plays defensively and going 2-for-4 at the plate.
Congratulations to the Lady Comets on the win as they advance to the sectional finals this weekend. Go win that brick!

On Thursday, your Lady Royal Comets dominated on the field. Elizabeth Shiferaw,  Piper Griffis,  Myla Tran, Eli Stonier, Natalie Pschierer, and Elle Bentley combine efforts with their bats and stolen bases to overpower their Brighton opponents by 16 runs.  The Lady Royal Comets also put on great fielding and throwing performances to record the win for the final game of the season.  Congratulations on a great season to all of the Mod B softball team.

Last night, the Modified Girls Softball team took on a tough Pittsford squad. Maddie Hibbard made her pitching debut this season, recording two strikeouts and teaming up with Piper Griffis at first base for several key putouts. Myla Tran made an amazing catch in the outfield, while Elle Bentley and Natalie Pschierer did a great job defensively, holding Pittsford to singles and doubles. Piper Griffis crushed a double — and didn’t even throw her bat this time! Your Royal Comets will wrap up their season on Thursday at Brighton.

Last night, your Lady Royal Comets modified softball team took on Canandaigua in a strong team effort. Natalyah Griffin made her pitching debut this season, recording four strikeouts from the mound while also teaming up with Piper Griffis at first base for several key outs.
Carrigan Shaw, Meredith LaPlaca, Avery Voss, Sophie Eastman, and Eli Stonier each added singles at the plate, while Liza Hopkins and Piper Griffis both contributed two singles.
Your Royal Comets battled hard and finished the game with 12 runs against Canandaigua.

This Friday 5/15/26 Student Council will host an event for all three grade levels from 7 to 9 pm. The Spring! Bingo + Mat Ball Night costs $5 and will include Mat Ball, Bingo, pizza and an ice cream sundae bar. Tickets will be sold tomorrow through Friday morning in the lounge and cafeteria.

Leading the offense was Jules Reardon with an outstanding 5 goals, while Addison Ziccarelli added another goal to help power the team’s effort. Great job, girls!

We are excited to announce that three Burger students earned top honors in the Graphic Design category at this year’s Digies Digital Media Festival, a regional competition sponsored by Genesee Valley BOCES.
Congratulations to Tajudeen Bishi for Digital Portrait, Maria Olaad for Untitled, and Kaden Thwaits for Portrait of a Man. These students placed in the top three in their division across the region - what an outstanding accomplishment!
The awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday, May 27th, at 6:30 p.m. in the Paychex Theater at The Strong National Museum of Play. Families and friends are invited to attend.

Congratulations to Justin Kim on an outstanding tennis season! Justin earned his 14th win of the year and has qualified for the state qualifier tournament next weekend. On Saturday, Justin competed in the sectional tournament semifinals, where he wrestled a great match before falling 10-6 to the eventual sectional champion.Congratulations to Justin on a tremendous season so far and best of luck next weekend!
Congratulations to the R-H Modified Girls Lacrosse team on an impressive 11-5 victory over Spencerport on Friday night! The offense was firing on all cylinders, led by Lyla Junge and Addison Ziccarelli, who each scored 3 goals. Jules Reardon and Ari Blaivis both added 2 goals apiece, while Leah Slentz chipped in another goal to round out the scoring. Lilly Tidd also contributed with two assists, helping lead a strong team offensive effort. Great job by the entire team on a fantastic win!

Last night, your Lady Royal Comets took on West Irondequoit in a competitive modified softball matchup from start to finish. The R-H ladies put together a strong performance, scoring 11 runs.
Carrigan Shaw made several outstanding defensive plays at both third base and right field, while Natalyah Griffin did a spectacular job at first base. Elle Bentley and Elizabeth Shiferaw also contributed great fielding and strong throws throughout the game. Offensively, Elle recorded two singles, while Carrigan and Elizabeth each added a single of their own.
Congratulations to the team on an impressive night of softball!

Wednesday, May 6 - A Day

Last night in modified girls softball action, the Lady Royal Comets were able to play on the Varsity Field and they dominated. The aggressive base running of the Royal Comets resulted in 32 stolen bases. Elle Bentley had 2 singles & Myla Tran  had a single. Your Royal Comets recorded  32 stolen bases last night.  Great fielding and hustling was noticed by the entire team as they recorded a 19-5 victory over Brighton.  Congrats, ladies! 

Yesterday, the JV softball team defeated Gates Chili 18–4 in a dominant performance. Maxine Eng and Alexa Mulcahy handled pitching and catching duties for the entire game and Mya Priset delivered a standout triple. The whole team contributed offensively with every player reaching base. A great win for the Royal Comets!

Friday, May 1 - B Day

Last night the girls modified softball team faced 2 challenging Penfield pitchers.  Meredith LaPlaca, Myla Tran, Maddie Hibbard, Sophie Eastman and Carrigan Shaw were able to make contact despite the outstanding pitching talents of the Patriots.  
Eliza Stonier pitched the entire game and recorded 3 strikeouts. Not only did she record strikeouts, but she also contributed to making 5 outs in combination with Natalyah Griffin. G'Nai Curry did a great job behind the plate. Carrigan Shaw played well at 3rd base and had an impressive tag out as well as a well fielded ball and a throw out at 1st base.Excellent spirit, attitude and hustle last night despite the cool temperatures.  The Royal Comets face Brighton on Tuesday at home.

The JV softball team earned an exciting 19–16 win over Hilton. Mya Priset led the offense with multiple RBIs and a triple. Maxine Eng was dominant on the mound and also contributed at the plate with a triple and RBIs. Addison Chiaraluce added several strong hits as well.
Overall, it was a great team effort and a well-earned victory.
The team had an outstanding performance, playing their best game of the season! Leading the way, Addison Ziccarelli and Leah Sletz each scored three goals, while Jules Reardon added two goals in a strong offensive effort.
Great job to the entire team on a fantastic game!
They’ll be back in action with an away game against Brighton this Thursday. Good luck Comets!!

The Rush-Henrietta Modified Track Team earned a big win yesterday against Pittsford in their first meet of the season. Many athletes kicked things off with personal records, setting the tone for an exciting year ahead.
A standout moment came in the boys’ first heat of the 4x100m relay, where the team captured 1st place with an impressive time of 51.00 seconds flat. Gianne Vongphachanh exploded off the starting line to take an early lead, handing the baton to Jonael Adorno, who surged ahead of the competition. Gary Wu continued to extend the gap with a strong third leg, before Joshua Nnamonah brought it home to secure the win.

Last night, your Rush-Henrietta Lady Royal Comets faced off against Webster Schroeder in modified softball. Despite a standout performance from the Webster pitcher, the Royal Comets stepped up to the plate ready to swing and compete.
Avery Voss put on an impressive display at third base with strong fielding and  impressive throws. Carrigan Shaw added a great catch at third while Natalyah Griffin showcased incredible flexibility and athleticism at first base. The outfielders also contributed with excellent hustle, backing up plays and strong throws.
Great spirit, effort, and improvement all around—keep it up, ladies!

The Girls JV Flag Football team traveled to Greece Arcadia last night and came away with another impressive 18–13 victory. The dynamic duo of Estara Roberts-Crawford and Julianna Goff led the way with Goff hauling in 4 catches for 68 yards, while Roberts-Crawford added 6 receptions for 97 yards and 2 touchdowns. The win improves the team’s record to 4–3 on the season. They’ll look to keep the momentum going in a rematch against Spencerport on Wednesday.

The win evens their record at 3–3 on the season, setting up a big matchup Wednesday at Greece Arcadia.

JV Softball won against Edison Tech. Maxine Eng pitched a no-hitter with 12 strikeouts. Alexa Mulcahy bombed her first home run and Addison Chiaraluce hit a double and pitched the last inning with 3 strikeouts. All players contributed to the 19-2 win by being aggressive on the bases and everybody scored at least one run.

JV Flag Football earned an impressive 36–7 victory over Wilson on Friday night. Estara Roberts-Crawford led the way with a dominant performance, totaling 100 rushing yards, 40 receiving yards, and 3 touchdowns. Juliann Goff added 75 receiving yards and a rushing touchdown to round out a strong offensive effort. It was a huge win for the Royal Comets! They’re back in action tomorrow at Churchville-Chili.

JV Flag earned their first win of the season with a hard-fought 14–13 victory on the road against Penfield on Wednesday evening.

Did you know that……..Duck feathers are so waterproof that water rolls right off them like rain off a raincoat?  Ducks spread special oil on their feathers that keeps them dry even when they spend hours swimming.

Mario Watson had an impressive 7 goals this morning in Floor Hockey Club.
Congratulations to the Boys Modified Black basketball team for their outstanding season! The team finished the year with a perfect 9–0 record, going undefeated.They capped off their incredible season with an exciting win over Irondequoit in a back-and-forth game that came down to the wire. Mason Chess led the way with 17 points, knocking down clutch free throws in the final moments, while Kendrick Murray added 7 points to help secure the victory.

R-H Girls Basketball defeated Fairport 38–34 in an exciting finish to cap off the season! Jules Reardon led the way with 16 points, followed by MacKenzie Krenzer with 6 points and Presleigh Taylor adding 2 points. Down by 6 with just three minutes remaining, the team battled back with determination and heart to secure the win. What a way to close out the season. Great job, ladies!

The Modified cheer team wrapped up their season yesterday in style, earning another first-place finish in a five-team division! We are incredibly proud of their hard work, dedication, and success this season - what a fantastic way to end the year! 

R-H girls basketball faced Fairport and battled hard but came up short with a 38–31 loss. Jules Reardon led the scoring with 6 points, followed by Presleigh Taylor with 4 points and Salina Adhikari with 3 points. Great effort by the team!

Great job to our R-H Modified Wrestling GREEN team last night at home as they hosted Pittsford, Brockport, and the Greece Storm at Roth. It was a strong showing with match wins from Maddy Beyor, Ben Parish, Ethan Haitz, Elsie Hughes, Jayden Dang and Mason Monson. Great job, wrestlers!

Jules Reardon led the scoring with 9 points, while Salina Adhikari and Presleigh Taylor each added 2 points. Ari Blaivas and Mackenzie Krenzer played phenomenal defense, creating steals and fast-break opportunities throughout the game. Great effort by the team. 
Mod A basketball had a game last night vs. Victor and RH came out with the win 67-57. This was a physical back and forth game that came down to the last quarter where Abram Lewis hit a big three to tie the game going into the final quarter. Great scoring effort from Perry Taylor with 12 points and Quinzell Ashford with 11 points. Very solid game from Josh McFarland with a big 22 points and 14 rebounds! Great job, R-H!

The Mod A Basketball team earned a big win last night against Pittsford Sutherland, 100–35! The entire team played exceptional defense, which led to numerous fast-break points. Offensively, everyone contributed, Austin Champion scored 11 points. Carter Johnson and Quinzell Ashford also had a great defensive night, combining for 13 steals. The next game will be at home at Roth on Wednesday against Victor at 5:30 p.m.

Breaking news! Student Council has decided to postpone the Silent Disco due to the weather forecast. We are expecting temperatures to be very cold and do not want people waiting outside at the event. If you still want to purchase a ticket you can pre-pay today by seeing Mrs. MacClaren or Mrs. Traugott. Otherwise, we will sell tickets again when the event gets closer.

Big shout out to our R-H modified wrestling team as they traveled to Fairport to compete against the Red Raiders and the Victor Blue Devils. Matches were won by Hayden Collins,  Jayden Dang, Elsie Hughes and Phoenix Rose Victor. Great work R-H Mod Wrestlers!

The Mod A Basketball team earned an impressive win last night, defeating Irondequoit 74–38. A strong team defensive effort helped seal the victory. Nico Osorio led the way with 18 points. The team is back in action at home on Monday at Roth taking on Pittsford Sutherland at 5:00 PM.

This past Saturday, our GREEN team of R-H modified wrestling traveled to Fairport to compete. Matches were won by Elsie Hughes,Mason Monson and Nathan Bartoo. Great job, Green team!

Last night our GOLD team of R-H modified wrestling traveled to Penfield to compete against the Patriots. Matches were won by Hayden Collins, Luka Payne,  Jayden Dang, Jonathan Torres and Bryce Burrows.  Great job GOLD Team! 
Our R-H Mod Wrestling GREEN team will be traveling to Fairport this Saturday!

The R-H Green Girls Basketball team earned an impressive 49–18 victory over Webster on Wednesday night. Jules Reardon led the scoring with 12 points, followed by MacKenzie Krenzer with 6, Presleigh Taylor with 4, and Ari Blavis (Blay-vis) with 3. The team played phenomenal defense with awesome rebounding and great passing.

The Modified Boys Black Basketball team continued their strong start to the season with an impressive 48–18 victory over Gates-Chili. Mason Chess led the way with 14 points, while Gabriel Hall added 9. Q-Shawn Penn and Ari Barnes each chipped in 6 points. With the win, the Modified Black team improves to a perfect 3–0 on the season.
The R-H Green Girls Basketball team fell to Canandaigua by a final score of 37–25. Jules Reardon led the way with 9 points and the team competed with strong effort and determination throughout the game.

R-H Mod A Basketball faced Webster Thomas last night and came up just short in a hard-fought game, falling 74–68. Despite the result, the team continues to show steady improvement with each game. R-H will look to build on this progress when they take on Penfield on Wednesday.

Congratulations to the Modified Boys and Girls swimmers and divers on an outstanding season opener Wednesday, as both teams earned impressive victories over visiting Webster - Girls winning 67–37 and Boys taking the meet 86–27.
In an incredible showing, five school records were broken, with two additional performances coming just shy of record marks.
New school records were set by:
Gabe Cassaverde in the 100 Individual Medley with a time of 1:31.78, shattering the previous record by 3.5 seconds, and in 1-meter diving with a score of 94.88, an 11.6-point improvement.

Jadiel Figueroa in the 50-yard freestyle with a 29.71.

Eric Harper in the 100 freestyle, posting a 1:09.51, a 3.2-second drop.

The 200 freestyle relay team of Jadiel Figueroa, Landon Saysamone, Joseph Matlack, and Eric Harper, who smashed the record with a time of 2:04.52, an incredible 13.3 seconds faster than the previous mark.

Just missing school records with the second- or third-best performances in school history were Landon Saysamone in the 50 backstroke, and Mia Gillette and Layla Payne in 1-meter diving.
This marks an outstanding start to the season and reflects the team’s strong work ethic through practices over the school break. The team’s next meet will be Wednesday at Fairport.
Modified Boys Black Basketball earned a convincing 43–24 victory over Irondequoit. Q-Shaun Penn led the way with 8 points and 8 rebounds, while Mason Chess added 8 points and dished out 4 assists in a strong team performance.

Great job last night to the R-H Modified Wrestling Green Team as they hit the road to take on the Spencerport Rangers. Strong performances led to match victories by Elsie Hughes, Amrit Singh, Ethan Haitz, Maddy Beyor and Nathan Bartoo. An outstanding effort all around - way to go, Green Team!

Last night, Mod A Green Basketball played their second game of the season, falling to Pittsford Mendon in a hard-fought matchup. R-H got off to a slow start but showed great determination, battling back and cutting the deficit to within 10 points. The team will look to bounce back on Friday when they travel to Fairport for their next game.

Congratulations to our Modified Boys Black Basketball team on a big win last night! The team defeated Canandaigua 55–23, showing great teamwork, energy, and effort from start to finish. They worked together to create scoring opportunities and never let up. Dean Gleghorn scored 10 points, Kendrick Murray scored 13 points, and Mason Chess scored 9 points.
Great job, and congratulations to the team on an impressive victory! 

Thursday, December 18 - B Day

The Rush-Henrietta girls volleyball varsity team earned a hard-fought win over Greece, 42–36. Estara Roberts-Crawford led the way with 14 points in an outstanding all-around performance. Kyla provided great hustle on both ends of the floor, contributing strong defense and offense, while Ava Gill came up big defensively and knocked down a crucial free throw in the fourth quarter to extend Rush-Henrietta’s lead to six. With the win, the Royal Comets improve to 2–3 on the season.

Last night, the Mod A Green Basketball team opened their season with a hard-fought, nail-biting loss to Brighton. The game stayed close throughout, with both teams trading runs from start to finish. The entire team competed with great effort, highlighted by strong minutes from Josh McFarland, Noah Valenti, and Brady Timm. The next game will be at home against Pittsford Mendon on January 7th.

The varsity boys swim team competed in their third meet of the season last night, falling to Greece 97–63. The team is now 1–5, with two losses to HFL, defeats against Greece and Hilton, a 30-point victory over Gates Chili, and a close 3-point loss to Rochester CSD & Aquinas.

The team wrapped up their season on Friday at Sectionals with an impressive 8th place team finish — the best in 12 years!
Out of 13 team members, 7 qualified as individual competitors and 8 represented the team in relay events.
7th grader Makayla Hayward had a standout performance, placing 11th in the 50-yard freestyle.
The relay teams also delivered strong results:

Congratulations to the Varsity swimmers who opened Sectional competition this past Saturday in the diving championships and swimming preliminaries last night. 
8th grader Keslee Yantachka scored 15th in diving for the first individual points for RH in over 6 years, followed by Tia Castle as first alternate and with 7th grader Makayla Hayward and junior Aubree Yantachka qualifying for Friday swim finals. These three  will be joined in the relay events by Cassidy Stasko, Makena Brady, Carrigan Shaw and Brooke Harper with all three relay teams advancing to the A finals.

The club is open to those who are brand new or those who have hit the slopes many times before and is a great way to meet new people who love the snow or to hang out with friends you already know. You can sign up through November but Early Bird Pricing ends this week which means you'll save money if you sign up before the end of the week! Information packets are located outside of Mr. Falci's room B-40 the 9th grade wing, Mrs. Stockmaster's room, Mrs. Traugott's room and in the Cafeteria.

Our Modified Cross Country Team Finishes the Season Strong! Our modified cross country team wrapped up their season on Friday at the Monroe County Modified Classic, competing against all 22 modified teams in the county - more than 600 runners in total!
Every one of our Burger girls finished with a personal best time! Highlights include:
Presleigh Taylor – 5th place overall with a time of 13:20

Harper Bement – a strong finish at 15:53

Claire Lyness – dropped an incredible 3 minutes to run 16:58

Penny Perez – cut her 2-mile time down to 17:45

Our Burger boys had an outstanding meet as well, with impressive performances across the board:
Ryan Jentsch – 14th place in 12:09

Chris Vicente – 30th place in 12:38

Dean Gleghorn – 40th place finish

Abram Lewis, Cole Truax, Alden Hugg, Jackson Floro, Zach Adamson, and Will Gianforte all contributed to the team’s success, helping Burger place 8th overall out of 22 teams!

What an incredible season! Fantastic job, Burger cross country runners!

Congrats to our R-H JV Football Royal Comets as they defeated Monroe at home last night in a thrilling final game of the season with an ending score of 32-28. Touchdowns were scored by Kaiden Thwaits and Mikey Mistretta for 2 rushing touchdowns. Shoutout to the whole Royal Comet defense in the 2nd half for only allowing one score from Monroe.  Some great plays and defensive stops were made by Noah Hunt, Joey Cenzi and Steven Kuriatnyk. 
Special shoutout to Noah Valenti for the game ending onside kick that was covered by Cameron DeCamilla. 
The JV Football team finished 5-3. Great season, gentlemen!

The Modified Gold Boys Soccer Team closed out their season with an impressive 6–1 victory tonight, finishing with a strong 7–3 overall record. Every player gave it their all this season - great job, boys!

Last night the Modified Girls Gold Soccer Team won their game 3-0 against Brighton Middle School. The goals were scored by Arianna Brown and 2 by Ava Kozakiewicz. Many goals were saved by Kyla McCollough and great job to all the Midfielders, Offense, and Defense. Not only a great game but a great season! Good job, Girls!
Our modified cross country team had an incredible showing at Saturday’s meet in Parma Park for the R-H-Hilton Royal Cadet Invitational! Every single girl on the team ran their personal best time of the season for a 2-mile course.
Highlights from the girls’ team include standout performances by:
Presleigh Taylor – 6th place with a time of 13:41
Harper Bement – 16:39
Penny Perez – 18:01
Claire Lyness – 20:02
On the boys’ side, Ryan Jentsch led the way with an impressive 11th place finish out of 211 runners. Also placing in the top half of the field were Chris Vicente, Dean Gleghorn, Abram Lewis, Cole Truax, and Alden Hugg.Great races were also run by Jackson Floro, Will Gianforte, and Zach Adamson, with many runners setting personal records for the season. The team will wrap up their season this Friday, once again at Parma Park. Be sure to wish our runners the best of luck as they head into their exciting season finale!

Friday, October 17 - B Day

Our R-H modified cross country team had their last league meet on Wednesday at Canandaigua Academy. Our Burger girls had fantastic results on the 2 mile course, with Presleigh Taylor finishing 2nd with a time of 14:07, Harper Bement scoring with a time of 18:05, Penny Perez continually improving throughout the season to land a 19:56, and Claire Lyness racing her first time back from injury to a 21:54. On the boys side, Burger racers showed out! Ryan Jentsch, Dean Gleghorn, Chris Vicente, Abram Lewis, Cole Truax, and Alden Hugg all placed in the top 20 of racers, with Ryan and Dean placing 2nd and 5th overall! Shortly behind them, Jackson Floro, Will Gianforte and Zach Adamson ran great races on the day, all getting points for their team. The modified cross country team has two races left in the season, so let's wish them luck as they compete this Saturday at Parma Park!

The Girls Varsity Swim team closed out their final home meet of the season with a 105-65 win over Midlakes, raising their record to 9-8 on the year with one contest to go.  This win guarantees the team their first non-losing season in nearly 15 years.  2 new Sectional qualifiers came through with Cassidy Stasko in the 100 backstroke and Aubree Yantachka in the 200 and 500 freestyles.  
Today the Divers will be traveling to Churchville Chili for the Monroe County Diving Championships and the team will travel to Churchville on Tuesday for their last dual meet of the season.  Well done ladies on a terrific turn around season!

Last night, the Black Mod B Girls Volleyball team dominated with their serves in their match up with HF-L.  Over the course of the season each of the team members showed tremendous growth in their skills, knowledge of the game, hustle and team play.  Congrats ladies on your 2 huge wins over HF-L. Congrats on a great season to Salina Adhikar, Ari Blaivas, Ace Dulal, Genesis 7 Easton, Mila Gordon, Rowan Grunett, Aneja Heganovic, Elsie Hughes, Evie Lepel, Sydney McKee, Julet Nudds and Genesis 8 Rivera.  Thanks for a great season. - Coach Finewood

Great play from Pyper Webb, Mollie Eastman, Karina Kwok, and Dibya Gihmire helped push the team to an impressive 7–4–2 overall record.

The R-H Green Girls Soccer team secured a 2–0 win over Spencerport last night, improving their record to 5–1–3! Danny Stuknyuk opened the scoring by capitalizing on a loose ball in the box from a corner kick, and just 10 minutes later, Avery Voss blasted a beautiful shot from outside the 18 into the top corner.Solid defense from Adriana Gianvecchio, Alexa Ademovic, Violet Taylor, and Maliah Mitchell kept Spencerport off the scoreboard. Shout-out to Collins Ely, Sariah Heygood, Sammy Gorski, Natalie Bartz, Sophia Jordan, Mila Cravatta, Adrina Bista, Molly Babcock, and Emma Schoener for playing their best games of the season. Way to go, RH!

The Girls Mod A Tennis team battled hard in a close match against Fairport yesterday, narrowly falling 3-5. Pyper Webb earned her 10th win of the season—congratulations, Pyper! Shoutout to Mollie Eastman, Karina Kwok, and Dibya Ghimire for their strong performances on the court. The team now holds an overall record of 6-4-2. Keep it up, ladies!

This week at Burger is Breast Cancer Awareness Week.  Cancer starts when body cells begin to grow and multiply out of control. Breast cancer is a disease in which abnormal breast cells grow and multiply uncontrollably forming a tumor.  Breast cancer occurs mostly in women but men can get breast cancer too.

The Girls Varsity Swimming and Diving team improved their record to 8-7 with a strong dual meet victory this past Friday over Sweet Home (Section 6) and Greece. With the win, they’ve secured a move out of the bottom spot in Monroe County Division 1. The team hits the road tonight to take on Victor and will return home for their final meet of the season this Thursday at 5 p.m. Carrigan Shaw earned her Sectional qualifier in the 200 freestyle as well as numerous season and personal best swims across the team.
Thursday night, your R-H Lady Comets mod BLACK volleyball team took on Webster.  This team showed perseverance in their first 2 sets and got the win for each of them as well as the 3rd and 4th set.  The serves delivered by the Royal Comets were incredible.  Genesis Rivera, Ace Dulal, Evie Lepel and Rowan Grunett showed their jump serves. Juliet Nudds, Mila Gordan and Ari Blavis showed consistency and accuracy with their serves. Sydney McKee, Ace Dulal, Elsie Hughes and Salina Adhikar were hustling to complete 3 hit combinations.  Salina Adhikar nailed her 1st volleyball kill during our Thursday game play.  Congrats on your BIG Win!  On Wednesday, the ladies wrap up their season at home vs. Honeoye Falls Lima.
The girls mod A tennis team tied a solid Canandaigua team Thursday 4-4. Great play from Pyper Webb, Mollie Eastman, Elle Bently, Karina Kwok, and Dibya Gihmire.  The girls are 6-3-2 overall!
Rush-Henrietta 13, Fairport 0 -  R-H freshman Evan Mangone, who scored on a sneak and threw a TD pass, to get a marker as a varsity QB.

The Boys Green Soccer Team defeated Webster Thomas last night on the turf, 3-0 to go 6 and 2. Rojan Chhetri and Gary Wu all had goals and Landon Saysamone had two assists. Reilly Flores, Eli Kroening and Kieran Cook played strong on defense.  Well done, Green Team.

Last night, your Rush Henrietta modified Volleyball teams challenged each other.  It was an exciting 5 sets. Piper Griffis displayed powerful, impressive serves for the GOLD team.  The Gold team won 2 sets. The Black team had some amazing serves by Ari Blaivas, Genesis Easton, Genesis Rivera, Mila Gordon and Evie Lepel.  Rowan Grunett and Ace Dulal put on a jump serve demonstration.  The ladies had several 3 hit combinations as well as numerous exciting volleys and won 3 sets.  Some tremendous hustle and passes were displayed by Ace Dulal, Sydney McKee, Juliet Nudds, Aneja Heganovic, Elsie Hughes and Salina Adhikar.  Salina also had an impressive spike.  YOU go Lady Royal Comets!

The R-H Green Girls Soccer Team defeated Hilton last night 4-2. Congratulations to Natalie Bartz on her first Hat Trick scoring three goals for the Royal Comets!  Adriana Gianvecchio held up a strong back line while Molly Babcock, Avery Voss and Collins Ely were amazing up front. R-H moves to 4-1-2 on the season! Way to go ladies!

The Rush-Henrietta Boys Modified Volleyball team took on the Spencerport Rangers and dominated, winning all 6 sets they played. On the A team, there was great passing from Gabriel Hall and great sets by Nathan Bartoo. Over on the B team, there was great serving by Eli Tsapiv, great passing by Sam Hunter, and great setting by Aniken Misra. Their next game is on Wednesday against Brighton at Burger at 5 pm. Great job, boys!

First Kindness Club Meeting is Tuesday after school in Mrs Miron’s room. Bus passes will be provided 

Our modified cross country team had a successful home meet on Wednesday at Roth Jr High, racing against Penfield, Canandaigua, and West Irondequoit in the first 2 mile race of the season. Top performances by our Burger girls included Presleigh Taylor, placing FIRST with a time of 14:09, Harper Bement and Penny Perez racing a 17:19 and 22:09 time, respectively. Our Burger boys all did excellently, with top performances from Ryan Jentsch placing 3rd overall with a time of 13:01, Chris Vicente in 6th place running 13:32, and fantastic performances from Cole Truax, Abe Lewis, Dean Gleghorn, Alden Hugg, Will Gianforte, Zach Adamson and Jackson Floro. Great job to all of our Burger cross country runners!

The modified and varsity cheerleading teams took home first place at their very first competition this weekend! Both teams delivered rock-solid routines and are fired up for an incredible season ahead.

On Wednesday the Boys Green Soccer Team defeated Webster Schroeder 8-1 in their match. The following players scored goals: Gary Wu, Aayush Powdyel, Sajan Magar, Maxwell Fischer, Rojan Chhetri, and Gabe Casaverde
The following had assists: Gary Wu, Aayush Powdyel, Kieran Cook, Sajan Magar, and Abishek Rai. Elijah Kroening, Reilly Flores and Kieran Cook played great defense.  Another great game, gentlemen. That puts the team at 5 and 2 so far this season.

The Girls Modified A Tennis Team earned a hard-fought 4-3 victory over a strong HFL team yesterday. Outstanding performances came from Pyper Webb, Mollie Eastman, and Karina Kwok. The team now improves to 4-2-1 on the season!

The R-H Green Girls Soccer Team earned an impressive 3-0 victory over Brockport last night! Goals came from Natalie Bartz, Collins Ely, and Adrina Bista. Strong contributions were also made by Sophia Jordan, Adriana Gianvecchio, Sariah Haywood, Emma Schoener, Alexa Ademovic, and Maliyah Mitchell. The win brings R-H's record to 3-1-2. Great job, ladies!

Congratulations to the Modified BLACK Girls Volleyball team on a great set of matches last night.  If you want to see a team that hustles, works together and is supportive of one another - this team is it!!!!  Salina Adhikar, Mila Gordon, Evie Lepel, Juliet Nudds, Ari Blaivas, Aneja Heganovic and Genesis Easton showed undying hustle last night on the court and contributed to many 3 hit combinations in their match up against HF-L. Impressive serving power was noted by Rowan Gurnett, Elsie Hughes, Sydney McKee, Genesis Rivera and Ace Dulal.  Way to go on your wins and fabulous play last night.

On Saturday the Boys Green Soccer team defeated Calkins Road Pittsford team 2-1.  Gabe Casaverde and Gary Wu scored goals. Aayush Powdyel and Gabe Casaverde had the assists.  Julian Bechard-Corzo helped win the match with his goalkeeping. The team played very well. Great win, boys!

Monday, September 29 - B Day

Just a reminder that Chamber orchestra is starting this week. We will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays before school starting tomorrow in the band room at 6:45. See you there!

Friday night the Girls Modified BLACK Volleyball team took on East Irondequoit.  This team represented Rush-Henrietta well.  The Royal Comets put on an incredible serving demonstration led by Salina Adhikari, Ari Blaivis, Mila Gordon, Aneja Heganovic, Aishwarya Dulal, Genesis Easton and Genesis Rivera.  Evie Lepel, Juliet Nudds, and Elsie Hughes exhibited tremendous hustle and were great contributors to several 3-hit combinations. Congratulations on your tremendous play and WIN on Friday night. Tonight, the Lady Royal Comets take on Honeoye Falls-Lima.  Best wishes, ladies!

Congratulations to the Varsity Girls Swim Team on an impressive weekend, securing two victories over Dansville and Hornell in a championship-style meet hosted in Hornell! With strong performances across the board, the team scored a dominant 390 points, outpacing Hornell’s 353 and Dansville’s 284, and improving their season record to 6-4. Individual event wins came from Hayward in the 100 breaststroke and Shaw in the 500 freestyle, with the entire team contributing through numerous top-4 finishes to help secure the wins. Great job, ladies!

The girls mod A Tennis defeated Irondequoit 6-0 Friday afternoon. Great play from a still unbeaten Pyper Webb, A great job by Karina Kwok, Dibya Ghimire and Elle Bentley. The ladies are 3-2-1 overall! 

Congrats to our JV football team on a thrilling 27-24 win over UPrep at home this past Saturday which puts them at 3-1 on the season. Getting in the end zone for the Royal Comets was Tristan Jeffries, Evan Mangone for not one… but TWO touchdowns, and Aayush Bharati for the game winning catch. Mikey Mistretta also helped to march the ball down the field at running back. Great defense was played all around. Shout out to our defensive playmaker Luis Colon The JV Royal Comets football team will be on the road this Saturday to play Pittsford.

Congratulations to our Modified Cross Country team on an outstanding showing at the McQuaid Invitational this past Saturday — the largest cross country meet in all of North America!

R-H athletes rose to the occasion on this massive stage:

• Sawyer Cornaire led the way with a phenomenal 3rd-place finish in the Class AAA Large School Girls Modified Race, clocking a time of 9:47. Out of 712 total finishers, she placed an incredible 8th overall!
   
• On the boys’ side, Christopher Vicente finished 35th in the Class AAA race with a time of 9:40, placing 79th out of 954 total boys’ modified runners

Other top performances included:

• Presleigh Taylor – 24th place
• Ryan Jentsch – 49th place
• Cole Truax – 105th place

A huge congratulations to all of our Modified Cross Country runners on a successful day at McQuaid!

Friday, September 26 - A Day

The Girls Varsity Swim Team evened their season record to 4-4 last night with a dominant 99-67 victory over Eastridge High School. Divers .7th grader McKayla Hayward had an outstanding meet, winning both of her individual events as well as contributing to two relay victories. Makena Brady and Carrigan Shaw each added a first and second place finish in their individual events, helping to lock in the win for the team. Up next, the team travels to Hornell and Dansville on Saturday for a chance to push their season record above .500.

In yesterday’s match against Gates Chili, the Girls Green Modified Volleyball Team pulled off an intense 3–2 win. Charlotte Haley came up with an incredible dig. Alexa Mulcahy delivered multiple aces. McKenna Hogan held the line with strong blocks, and Judianna Nnamonah finished the rally with a marvelous kill. Avery Benedict set things up beautifully with her amazing sets.

The Modified Boys Volleyball Team battled through six tough sets in an away game against Penfield. The A Team came out on top, winning two out of three sets, fueled by strong serving from Gabriel Hall and Nathan Bartoo. The B Team fought hard, keeping all three sets close with excellent serving from Aniken Misra and Eli Tsapiv. Their next game is Tuesday on the road against Pittsford. Great job on the court, boys!

The Boys Green Soccer team put up a strong performance against Pittsford Barker Road School, falling 2-1 after a hard-fought second-half goal. The boys played well.They’ll take on Calkins Road School this Saturday at Roth. The game starts at 9:30AM. Come out to support this great team.

Tuesday, September 23 - B Day

Great win on the road last night for our Royal Comet JV football team with a score of 28-21 against Aquinas. Shoutout to our touchdown scorers Tristan Jeffries off of a kick return, Evan Mangone, Kaiden Thwaits, and Mikey Mistretta on his first career touchdown. All around great defense was played with help from Luis Colon, Max Koppers, Sayvion Cox, Omari Wallace, Isaiah McDonald, Liam Potwin, Josh Harris, Julian Booth And Mahkai Gray.

The Royal Comets JV football team have a quick turn around and play at home vs UPrep this Saturday at 9:30am. Come out and support!

Monday, September 22 - A Day

On Saturday, your Lady Royal Comets Modified Volleyball team Black took on Webster Spry.  The Royal Comets DOMINATED!  Each of the team members put on a serving demonstration and served numerous aces!  R-H also put on a volleying show of 3 hits with tons of beautiful forearm passes, overhead passes and some kills!  Congratulations to every member of the Mod Black team on their impressive WIN over Webster!  On Tuesday, the team takes on East Irondequoit.

Friday, September 19 - B Day

The R-H girls Green Soccer team defeated Greece Athena 3-0 last night in a hard fought win. Collins Ely had an assist and Emma Schoener kept a clean sheet in goal with 13 saves!! Other amazing plays were created by Mila Cravatta, Alexa Ademovic, Natalie Bartz and Adrina Bista. Way to go ladies!!!

Last night the two modified girls volleyball teams competed at Burger.  Congratulations to both teams on a great night of volleyball and showing wonderful sportsmanship. Shout out to Piper Griffis for being a clutch player for the GOLD team. The BLACK team rocked their serves.  Congrats to Rowan Gurnett, Ace Dulal, Salina Adhikar, Elsie Hughes, Evie Lepel. Mila Gordon, and Ari Blaivis, Aneja Heganovic, Sydney McKee and Genesis Rivera had impressive hustle and offensive skills.  Juliet Nudds played the best night of her volleyball career.  Way to go ladies!

The Girls Gold Mod Soccer team stormed back from a two-goal second half deficit to tie the game late, but unfortunately fell short 3-2 against Fairport. Miracle Johnson and Rojina Chhetri each scored a goal for R-H. Mia Gillett had a fantastic game defending. Great game, girls.

The Girls Varsity Swim Team hosted 20-time consecutive Section V champion Pittsford on Tuesday night, falling 102–69 and bringing their season record to 2–2. The team hits the road this weekend for a meet at Spencerport, before returning home to take on Penfield next Tuesday at R-H Senior High School.

The Girls R-H Green Soccer Team nearly defeated Gates Chili last night 1-1. Natalie Bartz scored for R-H. Adriana Gianvecchio, Avery Voss, Alexa Ademovic and Emma Schoener all had excellent games for R-H.

The Rush-Henrietta Girls Varsity Soccer team earned a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Honeoye Falls-Lima last night. Ava Luc opened the scoring, and Gianna Lebron sealed the win with a clutch game-winning penalty kick. Goalkeeper Natalie Wood made an impressive 7 saves to help secure the win. Great job, ladies!
 

Monday, September 15 - B Day

Jazz Band will start on October 1. This ensemble is open to all students enrolled in the band program at Burger. Jazz Band also includes a few instruments that are not in the traditional band at school. If you play Bass or Guitar and would like to join, you are welcome to try out! Friday, September 12 - A Day

The Girls Varsity Swim team achieved a major milestone last night, moving to a winning record (2–1) for the first time in over a decade with a thrilling 90–82 victory over Gates Chili at home. Despite early setbacks - including disqualifications for both relay teams in the opening event - the team rallied with grit and determination. McKayla Hayward led the way securing a win. Carrigan Shaw added a crucial victory in the 500 freestyle, achieving her first career Sectional cut time in the process. The meet was clinched in dominant fashion, as the 400 freestyle relay team - Brady, Shaw, Hayward, and Cassidy Stasko - won the final event by over a minute. The team will host Pittsford on Tuesday, September 16.

The Boys Gold Modified Soccer team clinched another scrimmage victory last night, winning 2–1 with a thrilling last-minute goal. Nickson Tamang scored both goals to secure the win. 
 

Thursday, September 11 - B Day

The Girls Mod A Tennis Team came out strong with a thrilling 4–3 victory over HFL on Monday night! Shoutout to Elle Bentley, Mollie Eastman, Dibya Ghimire, Karina Kwok, and Pyper Webb for their standout performances. The team starts the season 1–0—way to go, ladies!

The Boys Modified Gold Soccer Team dominated their match on Tuesday with a convincing 8–1 win. Great job, team!

Your Lady Royal Comets Modified Volleyball Team faced off against East Irondequoit last night and delivered an outstanding performance—R-H took 4 out of 5 sets! Congratulations to the Modified Black Team on a strong showing. Highlights included exceptional serving from Arianna Blaivas, Sydney McKee, and Genesis Rivera, while Genesis Easton, Aishwarya Dulal, Rowan Grunett, Elsie Hughes, and Juliet Nudds showed incredible hustle and teamwork, frequently executing 3-hit plays. Fantastic effort all around!

The R-H Girls Green Soccer Team played a great match against Spencerport last night!  Emma Schoener made an impressive nine saves. Strong plays also came from Mila Cravatta, Adrianna Gianvechio, and Danny Stuknyuk. Well done, team!

Wednesday, September 10 - A Day

The Varsity Girls Swim Team kicked off the season with a home tri-meet against Letchworth/Perry and Marcus Whitman. In a thrilling showdown that came down to the final race, Letchworth edged out the Comets by just one point, 88-87. Despite a last-minute injury setback, R-H powered through and secured their first win of the season with a dominant 109-60 victory over Marcus Whitman.

The team saw a strong start to the year, with several swimmers achieving personal bests and qualifying times for sectionals. McKayla Hayward led the way, claiming victories in two individual events.
The Comets return to action this Thursday against Gates-Chili at the Rush-Henrietta Senior High School pool. The meet begins at 5:15 PM—come out and support the team!

Tuesday, September 9 - B Day

CONGRATULATIONS to all of the members of the MOD Girls Volleyball Team- BLACK.  Last night on their opening night of the season they defeated Webster Schroeder taking 4 out of 5 of their matches.  There were too many wonderful plays to mention....way to go ROYAL COMETS.  Aishwarya Dulal, Mila Gordon, Salina Adhikar, Rowan Grunett, Aneja Heganovic, Elsie Hughes and Evie Lepel each had several series of serves that Webster was not able to return.  Great hustle, spirit and sportswomanship last night ladies.

The R-H Girls Green Soccer team lost a close game last night at Spencerport. Spencerport took an early lead with two goals but R-H hung in there. R-H leveled the game 2-2 on two goals from Natalie Bartz and Molly Babcock. R-H then took the lead just after halftime with another goal by Natalie Bartz. R-H held the lead at 3-2 until Spencerport was able to rally three goals in the last 5 minutes to take the win. R-H Green is home on Wednesday vs. Spencerport. Great game ladies!!

We’d like to give a big shoutout to the R-H JV Royal Comets football team, who came away with an impressive 21–0 victory at the home opener on the turf against the Penfield Patriots!

On offense, Evan Mangone led the way with two touchdowns, and Tristan Jeffries added another to seal the win. The Comets’ defense was unstoppable, holding Penfield scoreless and racking up four interceptions—one each by Evan Mangone, Tristan Jeffries, Mah’Ki Gray, and Sayvion Cox.

A special recognition goes to 7th grader Michael Mistretta, who stepped up and had a great game at running back.

Congratulations to the JV Royal Comets on a dominant performance! Keep up the hard work!
